Five divisions make up the Wisconsin Youth Company family of programs:
The largest division is AFTER SCHOOL which offers before and after school care at 38 sites in Dane, Iowa and Waukesha Counties, serving about 1500 children. This division also provides summer day camps at 12 locations in 10 communities. Summer day camp serves about 800 children. At some of the same schools where WYC offers before and after school care, parents may also register their children for enrichment classes including languages, art and science. Approximately 500 students participate in these.
Wander Wisconsin is a year-round travel camp program which takes groups to state parks and attractions in Wisconsin. It also offers day trips and longer excursions for young people with their parents or grandparents.
Middle School U offers summer classes to middle school youth that allow them to pursue their hobbies and interests in week-long, in depth courses covering everything from photography to fishing and candy-making to kayaking.
Celebrating Youth! is Wisconsin Youth Company's annual one day event showcasing positive youth development. The event features multiple stages with youth performances, a visual art exhibit, activity areas for hands-on fun, and exhibitors with resources for youth and families. This event celebrates the amazing talent and dedication in our youth, and gives them a chance to shine and share their passions with the public.
The Wisconsin Youth & Family Center is a program serving the greater Elver Park neighborhood on the southwest side of Madison. It is housed in the Wisconsin Youth Company's administrative building on McKenna Blvd. The AFTER SCHOOL division offers a free after school program and summer day camp here for low-income neighborhood children, and an academic and recreation program for middle and high school students. The center is funded by the City of Madison, Dane County, Community Development Block Grant and the Madison Community Foundation.
