There are many things for parents to consider when choosing enrichment and care programs for their children. Wisconsin Youth Company offers several considerations to help you decide if our programs are right for your child:
1. Quality-- all our before and after school programs are state licensed. All our Madison-based after school programs are city accredited. All our summer camps including Wander Wisconsin are accredited by the American Camp Association. This means that our programs meet certain high standards covering things like staff-child ratios, age-appropriate activities and safety procedures.
2. Choice-- we serve school-age children from age four to teens in a variety of programs all designed to support and nurture their growth and help them learn new skills, build friendships and, most of all, have fun.
3. Flexibility-- parents have a choice about which days they enroll their children in AFTER SCHOOL, which week they enroll their child in summer camp, what type of course their middle school youngster will take, which foreign language their child will learn.
4. Innovative-- is your child interested in clowning? Send them to our summer circus camp! Maybe they want to try their first camping overnight. Send them to Kid Campouts. Too old for day care but not ready to be on their own during the summer? Middle School U offers a broad range of courses from candy making to kayaking. Homework help? It's at every before and after school site.
5. History-- we've been nurturing children since 1974. We know what kids need: caring adult role models, a safe place to be and the chance to grow and learn. You'll find all those things here at Wisconsin Youth Company.
