Neighborhood Centers

The Elver Park Neighborhood (EPNC) is housed at the Wisconsin Youth Company Administrative Office, 1201 McKenna Blvd., Madison, WI 53719.  EPNC youth programs are sponsored by Wisconsin Youth Company and funded in part by the City of Madison, Dane County and the Community Development Block Grant.

The Elver Park Neighborhood Center provides support to children and families in the greater Elver Park neighborhood. We support children through out-of-school time programming that focuses on academics, social-emotional learning, and health and wellness. We support families through being a bridge to schools and assisting families in accessing services in the community. Our working relationship with both Madison and Middleton schools is a vital piece of the work that we do. In all of our work with children, we focus on helping them to make graceful transitions. Families must meet income qualifications to enroll in EPNC K-5 programs. Please contact the administrative office for more information at (608) 276-9782. For middle and high school youth, our teen program provides structured academic programming and social support. Teens have supervised access to homework resources, a computer lab, gym and small garden.

The Theresa Terrace Neighborhood Center is a new center, owned by the City of Madison and operated by Wisconsin Youth Company. It will open the summer of 2015 in the Theresa/Hammersley neighborhood. The goal of the new center is to engage families, young people, and older adults in community life. Wisconsin Youth Company has been operating programs out of the local elementary school, Falk Elementary, since there has not been a building. We know that there is a growing need for middle school programming in the neighborhood. When the doors open on the new neighborhood center in June, Wisconsin Youth Company will provide summer programs to youth of all ages as well as adults in the neighborhood.
