Theresa Terrace Neighborhood Center's (TTNC) mission is to provide a space that empowers the community through educational, recreational and support services for its residents.
Our center has primarily focused on elementary after school programming and adult employment services since its doors opened in 2015. We have increased the availability of recreational elementary child care for its community residents through after school and summer camp programming. By eliminating common barriers, we have been able to serve youth who may not otherwise be able to participate in enriching program opportunities.
TTNC contracts its adult employment services through Common Wealth. A Common Wealth staff member attends our center once a week, but is also available to meet with residents outside of that timeframe. By bringing adult services directly to the neighborhood, together with Common Wealth, we have served adults close to their homes and around their busy schedules.
Alongside our neighbors, we continuously evaluate the needs of our community. Our team works hard at exploring additional funding opportunities to provide programs that address those needs.
Wisconsin Youth Company is pleased to provide K-5 after school and summer programs to families who live in and around the Falk Elementary community.

TTNC: A Center Without Borders
The staff at our center work hard collaborating with our community members and partners on various events. On the last Thursday of each month, TTNC invites the families and partners of the Hammersly-Theresa neighborhood into the center and provides a community dinner. Additionally, our staff continue to host and partner on other events and services including block parties, parent sessions and holiday events, all of which emphasize neighborhood cohesion and address community needs.
Through a collective effort, Wisconsin Youth Company, the operating agency of TTNC became the fiscal agent for the Falk Elementary Family Resource Center in 2016. This Family Resource Center provides weekly access to a pantry that is stocked with food, hygiene and household items, children’s clothing, and more.
It is the goal that our center is utilized by the greater community and is available to community serving organizations for a meetings space.
