Fundraisers

Wisconsin Youth Companys two annual fundraisers are the holiday card sale and the silent auctions at the Dane Region Spring 4-H Fair and the Waukesha Region Spring 4-H Fair. The silent auctions consist of baskets (or other containers) of donated good that are packaged together around a theme. Visitors to the fair can register and take part in competitive bidding on these baskets by writing their assigned number and their bid on a sheet of paper next to the baskets. In the past themes have included family fun packages with movie coupons, popcorn, candy and family themed DVDs, a camping package with a S'More grill, cooler and picnic supplies, a garden basket with seeds and garden tools and many more. Winners are announced at the end of the fair. All proceeds from the silent auctions go to the Wisconsin Youth Company Scholarship Fund to help low-income families pay for AFTER SCHOOL programs like before school and after school care and summer day camp. Funds may also be used for Wander Wisconsin travel camp experiences.
