SHARE:

Middle School U is a student-led environment that encourages participants entering grades 6-9 to develop interests and skills through discovery and mentorship from experienced staff. Instructors provide a deeper understanding of areas of interest, and students are empowered to create and explore.

Here are 3 MSU courses highlighting a variety of important skills:

CPR & Babysitter Training

Students earn Red Cross certification in Babysitting and Pediatric First Aid/CPR as they learn how to care for children of all ages, including tips for feeding, changing, and engaging kids in fun activities. They gain important skills for handling emergencies, such as learning how to perform CPR, manage choking incidents, and respond to injuries or illness.

Myths & Legends

Have you heard of the earthworks, otherwise known as effigy mounds, around Wisconsin? Students discover local history, tribal stories, and significant sites with expert guidance during this week-long course. They travel off-site each day with an experienced instructor who holds a master’s degree in Archaeology to uncover legendary stories from Madison and beyond.
