Elver Park Neighborhood Center supports families and community members in its neighborhood. Families have access to year-round programs for K-5 and teenagers. Resources include a computer lab, gathering spaces, and more. The center is operated by Wisconsin Youth Company and is funded in large part by the City of Madison and Dane County Department of Human Services.

Thanksgiving Food Drive 2020

Elver Park and Theresa Terrace Neighborhood Centers will be distributing 80 Thanksgiving baskets to families served by our centers and residing in our community. We appreciate partnerships with Woodman’s (west) and Second Harvest Foodbank which have allowed us to bring this opportunity to our community. Our centers are most thankful for our relationships and the community that we serve. Happy Thanksgiving! Donations at Woodman’s (west) will be accepted through Monday, Nov. 16.

Wisconsin Youth Company provides K-5 and teen after school programs, and K-5 and teen summer camps for those who live in the Elver Park area.

Elver Park Neighborhood Center (EPNC) provides out-of-school time programming for elementary age students who live in the greater Elver Park neighborhood and attend Madison Metropolitan and Middleton-Cross Plains School Districts. Our center works to function as central location for students, families, and school-day staff to gather, communicate and thrive. EPNC’s after school program is State of Wisconsin Licensed, YoungStar rated and City of Madison accredited.

Teen School Year

Navigating the bridge between childhood and adulthood is challenging for most teens. The role of Elver Park Neighborhood Center is to provide social support, homework help and guidance to teens that live in the Elver Park area as they travel that bridge. Teens can participate in sports, academic time and other organized activities all led by caring adult role models.

Elver Park Neighborhood Center provides a summer day camp experience for elementary age children residing in the greater Elver Park neighborhood. Weekly field trips, fun and themed days introduce campers to educational and enriching experiences all summer long.

Curbside Food Pantry

Elver Park Neighborhood Center’s Curbside Food Pantry opened in June 2020 in response to community food needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pantry is open to all and currently serves over 80 households on Madison’s southwest side. Our pantry is currently open on Tuesdays 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. For more information of if you have questions, please contact mbryson@wisconsinyouthcompany.org.

Joining Forces for FamiliesElver Park Neighborhood Center partners with Dane County and Joining Forces for Families (JFF) to provide neighborhood-based services. JFF Community Social Workers support families to access a wide variety of services and problem-solve when a family’s basic needs are not being met.  Our JFF worker is able to provide bi-lingual Spanish speaking services.  The JFF Office is located within Elver Park Neighborhood Center.

Karen's Essentials
Karen’s Essentials mission is to provide a service that is essential to the quality of our health and help those in need, no matter who they are. Karen offers a helping hand by working alongside member to find resources needed to thrive. Karen’s Essentials provides access to household items including cleaning supplies personal hygiene items and toiletries to the community.
