Improvements to Summer Registration Process

To better serve Dane and Waukesha County families, Wisconsin Youth Company is implementing priority registration windows for 2025 Summer programs so that families will have time to thoughtfully plan their summer care needs. This change is aimed at removing the stress and rush of registration families often experience. 

Who gets priority? 

Families who are currently enrolled in 2024-2025 School Year programs and/or participated in 2024 Summer programs will have early access to registration starting in mid-January (Dane County) and mid-March (Waukesha County). After priority registration is complete, programs will open to the public for lottery-based enrollment in March and April for Dane and Waukesha respectively. 

How it works: 

  1. Priority registration period: Eligible families will be notified via email with their designated registration window to secure their spots before enrollment opens to the public.  
  2. Camp options: During the priority window, families can register for: 
    1. Summer Day Camp: Campers build friendships, take field trips, swim, and have an active, fun summer. For campers entering grades K through 5.  
    2. Wander Wisconsin: Campers go on daily field trips and adventure-themed activities. For campers entering grades 3-5. 
    3. Theater Immersion: Campers learn and explore the theater arts in a comfortable, inclusive, and encouraging environment. For campers entering grades 3-9. 

The new registration process allows the organization to better accommodate families who depend on its programs, without the rush and stress often associated with childcare registration.

Note: Registration for Middle School U opens March 12, 2025 at noon. Priority registration will not be available for this program.
