Wander Wisconsin Spring Break

Wander Wisconsin Spring Break offers daily field trips and adventure-themed activities for students in grades 3-5 over Madison Metropoliton School District's spring break, March 30-April 3. Small group sizes and engaging staff provide the perfect environment for children to build self-confidence and friendships. Registration is weekly, individual day registration is not available.

Wander Wisconsin Spring Break 2020

Fill your week with daily field trips at Wander Wisconsin Spring Break. We will explore the great outdoors, new attractions and some Wander favorites. Learn how to tie knots and climb at Boulders Climbing Gym. Slide into waterpark fun and a pizza party at Chula Vista. Explore the history of our state at the Capitol, its natural outdoor areas at The MacKenzie Center and all of its wildlife at the Henry Vilas Zoo. Be sure to save enough energy for Friday as we finish off the week at Urban Air Adventure Park.

Wander Wisconsin Spring Break Base Camp  |  Thoreau Elementary, 3870 Nakoma Rd., Madison

Winter Wander trips run from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

  • Daily drop-off is between 7:30-8 a.m. All children must arrive by 8 a.m. Transportation will not be held for late arrivals.
  • Pick-up between 5-5:45 p.m.

Students will be transported to and from Thoreau Elementary for daily field trips by Wisconsin Youth Company van.

Important Trip Information

Registration Deadline  |  Monday, March 23, by 5 p.m.

Weekly Fee  |  $300 per child 

Deposit  |  $50 deposit per child, due at time of registration

Balance of Fees  |  Balance of program fees is due five business days, by 5 p.m., prior to program date. Deposits and remaining fees due are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Daily Snacks and Lunch  |  A nut-free morning and afternoon snack will be provided each day. Participants must bring a nut-free lunch that does not require refrigeration every day except Wednesday. Pizza will be provided for lunch at Chula Vista Waterpark on Wednesday.

Swim Level  |  All students must be a swim level yellow, green, or double green on Wisconsin Youth Company’s Swim and Aquatic Permission Form

Packing List  |  All participants should come prepared to be outdoors  | Bring coat, hat and gloves (as needed)  |  Bring a water bottle and a non-refrigerated lunch each day  Wear sturdy shoes  |  Wear swimsuit and bring provided swim shirt and towel on swim day
