Camp Glacier Creek 2017

Join us for Kettle Moraine's Camp Glacier Creek! Located at Kettle Moraine High School (349 N. Oak Crest Dr.) from June 20-July 28 and at Brandybrook Community Center (S11 W29980 Summit Ave.) from July 31-August 25. Each week will be a different theme with new activities, field trips and swim trips!  Campers will explore new places and ideas, play active games and create relationships with new friends and staff.

Wisconsin Youth Company Summer Day Camps and activities are planned specifically for campers entering grades K-2 and for campers entering grades 3-6. Each week will center around a different theme which allows the summer staff to introduce new concepts, games and projects to the campers. Every week will feature at least one theme-based field trip to a local establishment that fits within the weekly theme. These trips serve to broaden the perspectives of the campers and to add to the fun of the theme.

We also choose an aquatic trip every week to a local pool, beach or splash pad. Campers are divided into small groups (no larger than eight campers for every one staff member) by their swim levels. Swim levels are noted during the registration process and can be adjusted during the summer if needed. Wisconsin Youth Company Summer Day Camps only visit pools and beaches that are staffed by on-duty, certified lifeguards.

Group leaders provide age-appropriate activities for campers, including sports, games, arts and crafts,  nature adventures and free-play.  Campers will have the opportunity to explore activities based on a weekly theme.  Group leaders will encourage campers to try new things and expand campers’ interest and knowledge in various topics.

Grades 5-6 (Teens iN Transit - TNT)
TNT is a special program designed to appeal to our older campers who want to move beyond traditional summer day camp.  TNT campers will help determine their activities which will be based on the weekly themes.  There will be opportunities to develop leadership skills by helping with all camp activities and mentoring younger campers.  They can also pursue special interests, build friendships and conduct service-learning projects.  Campers will take field trips to fun destinations, learning about themselves as they explore their community.  TNT is for teens on the move!
