Camp Glacier Creek 2019

Camp Glacier Creek is located at Kettle Moraine High School  |  349 N. Oak Crest Drive, Wales

Each week includes:

  • A new and exciting theme
  • A fun and engaging field trip experience
  • An aquatic trip to a local pool, splash pad or beach
  • Hands-on projects and activities
  • A weekly all-camp festival
  • An opportunity to build friendships and memories with other similar-aged campers

Camp Glacier Creek offers half-day camps from June 17-July 26. Theme-based programming runs from 12:35-4:45 p.m. Campers may be picked up between 4:45-6 p.m. During this times campers will pursue supervised self-directed activities, play outside and enjoy fun games with friends.

Camp Glacier Creek offers full-day camp from July 29-August 23, located at Brandybrook Community Center. Theme-based programming runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. Campers may be dropped off between 7-9 a.m. and picked up between 4-6 p.m. Before and after camp activities available during full-day camp weeks.

Wisconsin Youth Company day camps are state licensed, YoungStar rated and follow American Camp Association standards.

Registration Deadline

You may register or add weeks any time until the end of the business day on Friday (5 p.m.) six business days prior to the week being requested, provided space is available.

Age Groups

Campers must be five years old to attend camp. All campers are grouped by age. Age groups are based on the grade your child will be entering in the fall. 

Summer Superheroes

Superheroes unite! We will be having an incredible start to our summer program. We will have many interactive games for the campers to get to know each other. Jester Fun Entertainment will be presenting magic tricks to the campers. Save your energy for a week of endless excitement!

Dig, Plant, Grow!

Join us for our Dig, Plant, Grow week! Campers will be able to create grass heads using soil and clay pots. At the end of the week, campers can take their grass heads home and continue to watch the grass grow! We will also visit a local farm to play games and pick strawberries!

Let’s have a splashtastic week at camp! We’ll dive right in with water-based games and fun science experiments. There will be sponge races, water balloon tosses and water relays. We’ll be able to take a dip at the pool for our weekly swimming trip. Don’t forget your towel!

A Fine Mess

It’s time to bring out our messy sides! We’ll be getting our hands dirty with sticky art projects, sticky treats and sticky slime. Mad Science will be coming to our camp for some engaging experiments to bring out our imagination in science.

Down on the Farm

Join us for a fun week learning about farm life. Campers will take part in creating animal art, animal games and animal-themed snacks. Campers will take a field trip to the Waukesha County Fair to see award-winning animals and shows.

Up, Up & Away

Ready for a fun week filled with interactive games and STEM challenges. Campers will take an adventure to Horwitz Planetarium to learn about the wonders of space. They will also be able to participate in STEM and building activities throughout the week. This week is going to be out of this world with fun projects and activities!

Wacky & Wonderful

Let’s have a wonderful week filled with limitless fun! We’ll have wacky science experiences and create wacky art using various tools. Kohl’s Wild Theatre will be performing using drama, songs and puppetry to bring a fun and interactive show. We’ll end the wonderful week with a trip to the park for a picnic and group games.

Rock On!

Ready to turn the music up as we get closer to the end of summer? Campers will be able to explore different styles of music through thrilling games, bust-a-move dance movements and engaging activities. The children will have the opportunity to tour Waukesha County Historical Museum where they will be able to learn about the musical impact on Waukesha County.

Summer Safari

Join us for a summer safari! We will travel to Bear Den Zoo and Petting Farm where children will be able to see unique animals. They will even be able to pet them. Don’t miss out!

Best of the Best

Join us for our last fun week of summer fun. We will be playing our favorite games, creating our favorite snacks and enjoying spending time with friends made at camp. For our last field trip of the summer, campers will head to lanes for day of bowling. We’ll finish off camp with a picnic at the park. Let’s make this week the best week of the summer!

Weekly Schedule Descriptions

Snack and Lunch  |  Morning and afternoon snacks are served daily during full-day camp weeks. Afternoon snack will be served during half-day camp weeks. Campers must bring a bag lunch not requiring refrigeration or microwaving each day of program. Milk is served daily and available at lunch when campers are on site. Parents are responsible for supplying a beverage when kids are off site at lunchtime.

Camp  |  All camp participants will receive a program shirt which must be worn on all field trips and swimming activities. Additional program shirts can be purchased for $12 each.

Field Trips  |  Campers will take field trips to fun, educational destinations related to the weekly theme. Field trips are taken via charter school bus. Notice of all field trips are posted the Friday prior to the start of the week.

Swimming  |  Campers will visit an area public beach or swimming pool each week, weather permitting. Campers swim only where lifeguards are present and only in areas designated as safe by the city and county health departments. Campers are assigned to a swim level based on the swim and aquatic activity permission form and are supervised by lifeguards and camp staff. Swimming and playing at the beach is a highlight for campers and is a long-time tradition.
