One in 3 children will start the school year without the supplies they need. Theresa Terrace Neighborhood Center, operated by Wisconsin Youth Company, host its annual Back2School Supply Drive to help children gear up for the return to school with the materials they need to succeed.

Our goal is to provide backpacks with essential school supplies to 250 children in our community.

This year in particular, families face financial hardships due to the rising cost of food, clothing, and housing. The cost to purchase every item on the school supply list for a second grader at one local elementary school is more than $60 for one child. Every backpack we can provide reduces the burden on families and supports children learning with confidence.

How can you help?

  • Check out our wish list to contribute essential supplies and fill the backpacks. Bonus: Purchase off our Amazon Charity List and ship the items directly to us!
  • Drop off school supplies at one of our donation stations. Find a full list of locations on our website, or contact our Community Engagement Director Takela Harper at tharper@wisconsinyouthcompany.org to arrange a drop-off time at Theresa Terrace Neighborhood Center.
  • Make a monetary donation. Through a donation, you can support the purchase of most-needed items.

Please note: All donated items need to be new or unused and in their original packaging.
