New for 2026-27 School Year
Wisconsin Youth Company is participating in Get Kids Ready for the 2026-27 school year. This state funding allows families to participate in 4K Wrap Tuesday-Friday free of charge. Families may choose to enroll for Mondays for an additional charge.
4K Wrap programs encourage young learners to explore, create and nurture their academic and developmental skills. Choice-based programs allow children to pursue their individual interests through hands-on activities, movement and socialization. Programs have a cheerful and playful environment.
4K Wrap programs are offered independently from the school district. Programs take place within the school building but registration with Wisconsin Youth Company is required in order to participate. 4K Wrap staff are Wisconsin Youth Company employees. Under the Department of Children and Families ratio requirements, 4K programs operate at a ratio of one staff per thirteen children.
Four or five day/week enrollment is available
Monday 4K Wrap | 7:35 a.m. – 1:10 p.m. – available for an additional charge.
Get Kids Ready P.M. 4K Wrap Tuesday-Friday | 10:40 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – free for families to participate. Use code ‘franklin4k’ when registering to remove $30 registration fee.

After School Information

After School programs ensure each child has opportunities to build positive relationships based on trust, honesty and respect in a safe environment. Choice-based programs allow children to pursue their individual interests through hands-on activities.
After School programs are large group settings in an open space — typically a gym or cafeteria. Children move freely through their program space and are allowed to choose activities that interest them. These programs operate under the State of Wisconsin licensing staffing ratios with a maximum of 18 children to 1 staff. Children must be at least 4 years old to attend and be in grades 4K-5.
Full- or part-time schedules are available, Monday through Friday. Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs.
After School Program | Monday 1:10-5:45 p.m., Tuesday-Friday: 2:30-5:45 p.m.
Please note: Program is not offered on mid-day release and no school days.
All Day Programs are available on select non-school days to children in the Madison Metropolitan School District who are currently enrolled in Wisconsin Youth Company programs.
Important Information
- Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs. Families who receive free and reduced lunch are eligible for a 25% discount on program fees. In order to receive the discount, families must submit current verification of free and reduced lunch eligibility to info@wisconsinyouthcompany.org
- There is a two–day minimum for regular enrollment
- Weekly enrollment fees are displayed; fees are billed bi-weekly throughout the school year
- Use code ‘franklin4k’ when registering for 4K wrap to remove $30 registration fee.
- After School processing fee: Required at time of registration
- $30 for one child
- $50 for two or more children
- Processing fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Processing fees are required to enroll in open programs and on waitlists.
- After school fees will not be pro-rated for missed days, school closings, non-school days or holidays, except for winter and spring break weeks
- Last billing period pro-rated based on last day of program
- Tentative school year calendars are subject to change; billed days will be adjusted accordingly
