2023 Summer camp registration is open!

Join us this summer for a safe and engaging experience at Camp Bayside and give your camper the opportunity to build friendships in a welcoming environment. 

Each week includes: 

  • A new and exciting theme 
  • Hands-on projects, activities and engaging free-choice options 
  • One off-site field trip and a swim trip to a local aquatic facility 
  • Weekly festival  An opportunity to build friendships and memories in a small group with other similar-aged campers 

Camp Bayside offers weekly enrollment from June 19 through August 18. Weekly camp hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.  

Campers participate in bi-weekly off-site field trips, including a swimming trip to a local aquatic facility. Campers receive a camp t-shirt on their first day at camp that should be worn during all off-site activities, including swim trips. 

Wisconsin Youth Company puts the health and safety of campers and staff first. All programs follow CDC, public health and Department of Children & Families guidelines. Elementary age day camps are American Camp Association (ACA) accredited and YoungStar rated. 

Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs.

Multi-week or full summer registration is strongly encouraged to keep camp groups consistent. You may register or add weeks any time until the end of the business day on Friday (5 p.m.) six business days prior to the week being requested, provided space is available.

There’s nothing much better than a beautiful Wisconsin summer day! We get things started this summer with a week of celebrating all our wonderful state has to offer. Campers will be learning all about Wisconsin through games, projects, and group activities. Additionally, each camp will visit a state park to kick off a great summer of field trips.

What’s black, white, and red all-over? A cow that missed out on this great week of camp! Campers will keep it groovin’ through summer with activities celebrating Wisconsin’s favorite animal, and a field trip to the Sassy Cow Creamery to see a real dairy farm in action.

Whether your camper is ready to dip their toes or jump right in, we’ll all have fun during our water-themed week. We’ll be guaranteed to stay cool with water games like sponge tag and drip, drip, drop. It’s going to be a splashtastic week!

Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my! Take a walk on the wild side, as campers engage in tons of fun centered around animals both familiar and exotic. If just talking about all their favorites wasn’t enough, camps will be visiting the Henry Vilas Zoo to see their favorites in real life, and learn about them from a wildlife expert!

This week at camp we celebrate a summer staple, the county fair! With tasty food, awesome games, and award-winning arts and animals, what’s not to love? Campers will work to create their own fair games during the week, and attend the Dane County Fair as well!

This week is all about the growth that happens all around us during the summer months. We’re talking about plants of course! Campers will focus on all the best parts of summer growth, everything from flowers to tasty food. Camps will also visit a local farm to get up close and personal with where food comes from.

Kooky, Silly, Zaney, Crazy! This week we celebrate our goofy sides with a week of circus-themed fun. Expect your camper to return home with some new circus skills, and maybe even some face paint. Camps will be visiting the Circus World Museum in Baraboo for some up close and personal circus fun!

Things are sure to get STEAM-y at camp this week, as our campers put on their lab coats in the pursuit of SCIENCE! Groups will explore everything from rocks to chemical reactions during our STEAM centered week, complete with a visit to the UW geology and/or Physics Museum.

All good things must come to an end, and summer is no exception. Fortunately, we have a foolproof plan for an amazing final week, lots of field trips! To celebrate the end of another successful summer, campers will be spending their week heading to different destinations planned by camp staff, as well as an all-camp festival to cap off the summer.

The waitlist for Encore Week has reached capacity. We are no longer accepting waitlist registrations for this week. 

All campers are invited to join us for the last week of summer at Badger Ridge Middle School (Camp Wildcat)!  

Summer may be coming to an end, but the fun isn’t done. While there’s still light in the day and sun in the sky, join us for one last summer hurrah! All our day camps come together to say “Encore!” to summer at Badger Ridge Middle School in Verona. Encore! Week includes multiple field trips, swimming trips, and plenty of hands-on fun at camp.

Please note: Families are varied and the use of the word Parent(s) refers to the adult(s) who are responsible for the child(ren).

Camp Hours  |  Camp hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. All Campers must be picked up by 4 p.m. on Friday, August 18.

Weekly Schedule  |  Days of the week and activity times may vary slightly from the provided sample schedule. A weekly welcome letter with campspecific details is emailed to Parents. 

Monday Kick-Off  |  On Monday, counselors welcome campers, review rules and emergency procedures, and share weekly plans with campers.   

Snack & Lunch  |  Morning and afternoon snacks are served daily. Campers bring their own nut-free lunch. Lunches should be packed so they do not require refrigeration or heating. Due to scheduling, lunch may occasionally be eaten off-site at a field trip location. Milk is available daily for snack and lunch.

Rejuvenate  |  After an active morning and a satisfying lunch, campers slow down and rest a bit before another round of fun begins in the afternoon.

Field Trips & Swimming  |  Camps take one field trip and one swim trip weekly; transportation is provided by school bus partners. Some camps may take walking field trips to nearby parks or other locations during the week, approved by the summer program director. Guest presenters may be invited to camp as well. Details will be shared in weekly email welcome letters. 

Group Time  |  Campers spend the majority of their camp week in established small groups of 12-18 campers based on age. Each small group is led by a counselor who facilitates age-appropriate, theme-based activities for their assigned group of campers. 

Weekly Festival  |  The weekly festival is a celebration of the week designed around the theme. Included is an opportunity for campers to share highlights from their week and create new traditions within their small group. Weekly festivals include talent shows, carnivals, field games, water fun, and much more.

Camp Bayside Fees  |  per child, per week  |  Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs

Weekly Deposits  |  Deposits are applied toward weekly fees and are non-refundable and
non-transferable.
$15 per child, per week 

Remaining Fees  |  Remaining weekly fee (less deposit) is due by the end of the business day Monday (5 p.m.) five business days prior to the start of program.
