Join us this summer for a safe and engaging experience at Camp Castle Creek and give your camper the opportunity to build friendships in a welcoming environment.

Each week includes:

  • A swim trip to a local pool or splash pad
  • An on-site guest presentation or off-site field trip
  • An opportunity to build friendships and memories in a small group with other similar-aged campers

  • T-shirt provided for swimming and field trips

June 12 – June 21 & August 5 – 9 | Full-day camp only | Camp hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

June 24 – August 2 | Half-day camp only for summer school students | Camp hours are Monday-Thursday 11:35 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Transportation from summer school to Camp Castle Creek is available through the Waunakee School District. Families are responsible for organizing transportation for their camper.

Wisconsin Youth Company puts the health and safety of campers and staff first. Our day camps are licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Additionally, our Day Camps are American Camp Association (ACA) accredited and YoungStar rated.

Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs.

Weekly enrollment is available. Registration for each week closes at the end of the business day on Friday (5 p.m.) six business days prior to the start of the camp week. A $35 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration for each week of camp. When capacities have been reached, wait-list registration will be available.

Please note that all field trips and presenters listed below are subject to change. Any changes to field trips and presenters will be shared with registered families via email by the Friday prior to the start of each camp week. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt which must be worn on off-site swim and field trips.

During the weeks of June 24 – August 2, only half-day camp registration is available for students attending Waunakee Summer School. For full-day registration during these weeks, please enroll at Camp Pleasant Valley. The last day of camp at Castle Creek is Friday, August 9. School’s out and the sun is hot; time to get ready for another amazing summer! The first week of camp will give everyone a chance to get warmed up for all the summer fun to come. Campers will spend time getting to know staff, and new friends as well. Groups will take a walking trip to a local park. 

Camp is open Wednesday-Friday this week. Due to the short week, there will be no swim trip.

Field Trip: Local Park

This week is all about celebrating the community we live in and all the great things it has to offer right in our own backyards! We will learn history and heritage of the area, and share our favorite spots. Campers will also embark on a walking trip to a local park or activity and take a tour of the Wisconsin State Capitol.

Get ready to blast off during this funfilled outer space week! Even though this week will be a little late for 2024’s solar eclipse, campers will still participate in games and activities focused on the solar system and beyond. Camps will also have a guest presenter from the UW Space Place during this cosmic week.

Campers will dive into a splashtastic week! There will be many water activities to get campers moving and splashing around, such as drip drip drop, sponge tag, and water relays! Camps will take a trip to a local swimming pool, too. Don’t forget to bring a towel!   

Camp is open Monday-Wednesday this week. Due to the short week, there will be no additional field trip.

With so much diverse nature in our state, there is sure to be a landscape for everyone to enjoy. Natural Wonders week is all about appreciating the great outdoors. Campers will search for natural wonders around camp and have a guest presenter from an outdoor education outreach program during the week.

A true summer classic, the county fair! Join us this week as campers create their own carnival games, and participate in contests in the spirit of the county fair. Campers will finish the week with a trip to the fair to see animals, arts, presentations, and so much more! 

Field Trip: Dane County Fair

What’s better than making a mess while having fun? Nothing! This week of camp is all about getting creative and exploring different types of art, both large and small. Groups will create projects individually, as well as work together for larger art creations. Each camp will also be visited by a guest presenter to add to the creative fun.

Getting around the world has never been easier than enrolling in this internationalthemed camp week. Campers will learn about games and customs from across the globe, as well as cook up tasty treats from abroad. To top it all off, campers will visit the Henry Vilas Zoo.

On your mark, get set, GO! This week is all about the spirit of competition as we celebrate the kick-off of the summer Olympics. Campers will learn about and participate in classic Olympic activities and about the different countries competing in this summer’s games. This week will also include a field trip to an area dream park.

Camp Hours  |  Camp opens at 11:35 a.m. on summer school days and 7:30 a.m. on non-summer school days. Camp closes at 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Weekly Schedule  |  Days of the week and activity times may vary slightly from the provided sample schedule. A weekly welcome letter with camp-specific details is emailed to all families.

Monday Kick-Off  |  On Monday, counselors welcome campers, review rules and emergency procedures, and share weekly plans with campers.   

Snack & Lunch  |  Morning and afternoon snacks are provided daily. Campers bring their own nut-free lunch. Lunches should be packed so they do not require refrigeration or heating. Due to scheduling, lunch may occasionally be eaten off-site at a field trip location. Milk is available daily for snack and lunch.

Rejuvenate  |  After an active morning, campers slow down and rest a bit before another round of fun begins in the afternoon.

Field Trips, Presenters & Swimming  |  Camps take a weekly swim trip to to a local pool or splash pad. Each week will also consist of a visit from an outside presenter or an off-site field trip. Transportation is provided by school bus partners. Some camps may take walking field trips to nearby parks or other locations during the week, approved by the summer program director.  Details will be shared via email prior to the start of the camp week.

Group Time  |  Campers spend the majority of their camp week in established small groups of 12-18 campers based on age. Each small group is led by a counselor who facilitates age-appropriate, theme-based activities for their assigned group of campers. 

Weekly Festival  |  The weekly festival is a celebration of the week designed around the theme. Included is an opportunity for campers to share highlights from their week and create new traditions within their small group. Weekly festivals include talent shows, carnivals, field games, water fun, and much more.

2024 Camp Castle Creek Fees  |  Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs

Weekly Deposits  |  Deposits are applied toward weekly fees and are non-refundable and

Remaining Fees  |  Remaining weekly fee (less deposit) is due by the end of the business day Monday (5 p.m.) five business days prior to the start of program.

Schedule Changes | Families may add or drop weeks any time until the end of the business day on Friday (5 p.m.) six business days prior to the requested week. Added weeks are dependent on space availability. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable when weeks are dropped.
