Join us this summer for a safe and engaging experience at Camp Castle Creek and give your camper the opportunity to build friendships in a welcoming environment.

Each week includes:

  • A new and exciting theme each week
  • Hands-on projects, activities and engaging free-choice options
  • A swim trip to a local pool or splash pad
  • An on-site guest presentation or off-site field trip
  • An opportunity to build friendships and memories in a small group with other similar-aged campers
  • Snack and milk provided each day
  • T-shirt provided for swimming and field trips

Non-Summer School Weeks | Full-day camp only | Camp hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Summer School Weeks | Half-day camp only for summer school students | Camp hours are Monday-Thursday 11:35 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Transportation from summer school to Camp Castle Creek is available through the Waunakee School District. Families are responsible for organizing transportation for their camper.

Wisconsin Youth Company puts the health and safety of campers and staff first. Our day camps are licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Additionally, our Day Camps are American Camp Association (ACA) accredited and YoungStar rated.

Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs.

Weekly enrollment is available. Registration for each week closes at the end of the business day on Friday (5 p.m.) six business days prior to the start of the camp week. A $35 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration for each week of camp. When capacities have been reached, wait-list registration will be available.

Please note that all field trips and presenters listed below are subject to change. Any changes to field trips and presenters will be shared with registered families via email by the Friday prior to the start of each camp week. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt which must be worn on off-site swim and field trips.

During the weeks of June 23 – August 1, only half-day camp registration is available for students attending Waunakee Summer School. For full-day registration during these weeks, please enroll at Camp Pleasant Valley.

School’s out and summer is in! During the first week of camp, we celebrate all the things we are looking forward to now that summer is finally here. From smoothies and sunshine to swimming and playing at the park, this summer will be off to a great start.

Field Trip: Dream Park/Splash pad

It’s time to don the lab coat and safety-goggles as we explore the wonders of science for Mad Science week. Campers participate in science experiments and cooking projects straight out of the laboratory. Camps also travel to UW Physics or Geology museums to learn about science from the experts.

Whether your camper is ready to dip their toes or jump right in, we all have fun during our water-themed week. We stay cool with water games like sponge tag and drip, drip, drop. It’s a splashtastic week! Because of the shortened week, camps only take a swimming trip.

Does your camper think they are the fastest, funniest, or most creative? Campers will challenge themselves in classic contests and new experiences as they learn what makes them a true camp all-star, capped off with an end-of-the-week talent show! This week also features a tour of either Camp Randall Stadium or the Kohl Center.

This week of camp is sure to earn a blue ribbon! That’s right, it’s a summer classic: County Fair week. Campers bring the spirit of the County Fair to camp with camper-created carnival games and fair faire, all before visiting the Dane County Fair at the end of the week!

Field Trip: Dane County Fair (Campers will not participate in rides, games or purchasing food at the fair.)

This week, campers focus on spreading kindness to others at camp and beyond. Campers participate in service-learning activities, as well as large group activities that encourage kindness and friendship. We also take time to show kindness to our earth and neighbors as we visit a local farm and learn about shared community gardening.

En Garde! Take a step back into medieval times during Camp Crusaders week. Campers transform camp into their own kingdom complete with fantastic beasts and magic during this mythical week. Our field trip this week heads to Monona Dream Park for fantasy-inspired play.

It doesn’t get much better than Wisconsin! We spend this week celebrating all our wonderful state has to offer. Campers learn all about Wisconsin through games, projects, and group activities. Additionally, camps visit Cave of the Mounds to experience the beauty underground in our great state.

All good things must come to an end, even a wonderful summer of fun. Fortunately, the final week of camp is sure to be a blast as we revisit our favorite activities of the summer! From our favorite games and songs to the most delicious cooking projects. This week is all about the best of the best. Camp staff plan a fun-filled field trip for this week in addition to the weekly swim trip and All Camp Extravaganza.

Summer may be coming to an end, but the fun isn’t done. While there’s still light in the day and sun in the sky, join us for one last summer hurrah! All our day camps come together to say “Encore!” to summer at Verona Area International School in Verona. Encore! week includes two field trips, a swimming trip, and plenty of hands-on fun at camp.

Registration for Encore! opens in April. Campers must be registered for at least one week of camp to register for Encore!. Information regarding the application process for Encore! is shared via email to registered families.

Camp Hours  |  Camp opens at 11:35 a.m. on summer school days and 7:30 a.m. on non-summer school days. Camp closes at 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Weekly Schedule  |  Days of the week and activity times may vary slightly from the provided sample schedule. A weekly welcome letter with camp-specific details is emailed to all families.

Monday Kick-Off  |  On Monday, counselors welcome campers, review rules and emergency procedures, and share weekly plans with campers.   

Snack & Lunch  |  Morning and afternoon snacks are provided daily. Campers bring their own nut-free lunch. Lunches should be packed so they do not require refrigeration or heating. Due to scheduling, lunch may occasionally be eaten off-site at a field trip location. Milk is available daily for snack and lunch.

Rejuvenate  |  After an active morning, campers slow down and rest a bit before another round of fun begins in the afternoon.

Field Trips, Presenters & Swimming  |  Camps take a weekly swim trip to to a local pool or splash pad. Each week will also consist of a visit from an outside presenter or an off-site field trip. Transportation is provided by school bus partners. Some camps may take walking field trips to nearby parks or other locations during the week, approved by the summer program director.  Details will be shared via email prior to the start of the camp week.

Group Time  |  Campers spend the majority of their camp week in established small groups of 12-18 campers based on age. Each small group is led by a counselor who facilitates age-appropriate, theme-based activities for their assigned group of campers. 

Weekly Festival  |  The weekly festival is a celebration of the week designed around the theme. Included is an opportunity for campers to share highlights from their week and create new traditions within their small group. Weekly festivals include talent shows, carnivals, field games, water fun, and much more.

Weekly Deposits  |  Deposits are applied toward weekly fees and are non-refundable and

Remaining Fees  |  Remaining weekly fee (less deposit) is due by the end of the business day Monday (5 p.m.) five business days prior to the start of program.

Schedule Changes | Families may add or drop weeks any time until the end of the business day on Friday (5 p.m.) six business days prior to the requested week. Added weeks are dependent on space availability. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable when weeks are dropped.
