Join us this summer for a safe and engaging experience at Camp Glacier Creek and give your camper the opportunity to build friendships in a welcoming environment. Summer Day Camp is for campers entering grades K-5. Campers must be five years old to attend camp. 

Each week includes:

  • A new and exciting theme each week
  • Hands-on projects, activities and engaging free-choice options
  • A swim trip to a local pool or splash pad
  • An on-site guest presentation or off-site field trip
  • An opportunity to build friendships and memories in a small group with other similar-aged campers
  • Snack and milk provided each day
  • T-shirt provided for swimming and field trips

June 17 – July 26 | Wales Elementary | Half-day camp only for summer school students | Camp hours are Monday-Thursday 12:35 –  6 p.m. and Friday 12:35 – 5 p.m.

July 29 – August 16 | Brandybrook Community Center | Full-day camp only | Camp hours are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Wisconsin Youth Company puts the health and safety of campers and staff first. Our day camps are licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Additionally, our Day Camps are American Camp Association (ACA) accredited and YoungStar rated.

Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs.

Weekly enrollment is available. Registration for each week closes at the end of the business day on Friday (5 p.m.) six business days prior to the start of the camp week. A $35 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration for each week of camp. When capacities have been reached, wait-list registration will be available.

Please note that all field trips and presenters listed below are subject to change. Any changes to field trips and presenters will be shared with registered families via email by the Friday prior to the start of each camp week. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt which must be worn on off-site swim and field trips.

School’s out and the sun is hot; time to get ready for another amazing summer! The first week of camp will give everyone a chance to get warmed up for all the summer fun to come. Campers will spend time getting to know staff, and new friends as well.

On Site- Presentation: Retzer Nature Center

With so much diverse nature in our state, there is sure to be a landscape  for everyone to enjoy. Natural Wonders week is all about appreciating the great outdoors. Campers will search for natural wonders around camp and take a trip to Jelli’s Market to learn about the wonderous ways that fruit grows in our state.

Campers will dive into a splashtastic week! There will be many water activities to get campers moving and splashing around, such as drip drip drop, sponge tag, and water relays! Camps will take a trip to a local swimming pool, too. Don’t forget to bring a towel!   

Camp is open Monday-Wednesday this week. Due to the short week, there will be no additional field trip.

What’s better than making a mess while having fun? Nothing! This week of camp is all about getting creative and exploring different types of art, both large and small. Groups will create projects individually, as well as work together for some larger art creations. Each camp will also have a guest presenter to add to the creative fun.

A true summer classic, the county fair! Join us this week as campers create their own carnival games, and participate in contests in the spirit of the county fair. Campers will finish the week with a trip to the fair to see animals, arts, presentations, and so much more! 

Field Trip: Waukesha County Fair

On your mark, get set, GO! This week is all about the spirit of competition as we celebrate the kick-off of the summer Olympics. Campers will learn about and participate in classic Olympic activities, as well as learning about the different countries competing in this summer’s games.

All campers must be picked up by 4 p.m. on Friday, July 26.

On-Site Presentation: Half Twisted – Half Knot

Getting around the world has never been easier than enrolling in this international–themed camp week. Campers will learn about games and customs from across the globe, as well as cook up tasty treats from abroad.

On-Site Presentation: Milwaukee Public Museum

This week is all about celebrating the community we live in and all the great things it has to offer! We will learn history and heritage of the area, and share our favorite spots. 

Field Trip: Milwaukee County Zoo

Let’s celebrate the end of summer camp with the best week yet! We will be playing our favorite games, creating our favorite snacks, and enjoying spending time with friends made at camp. There will be tons of hands-on activities and group games for all campers and counselors to enjoy together.  This is sure to be a memorable last week of camp!   

All campers must be picked up by 4 p.m. on Friday, August 16.

Camp Hours  |   Camp opens at 12:35 p.m. on summer school days and 8 a.m. on non-summer school days. Camp closes at 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 5 p.m. on Friday. Campers must be picked up by 4 p.m. on Friday, July 26 and Friday August 16. 

Weekly Schedule  |  Days of the week and activity times may vary slightly from the provided sample schedule. Weekly welcome letters with camp–specific details is emailed to families.   

Monday Kick-Off  |  On Monday, counselors welcome campers, review rules & emergency procedures, and share weekly plans with campers.   

Snack & Lunch  |  Morning (full day camp only) and afternoon snacks are served daily. Campers bring their own nut-free lunch. Lunches should be packed so that they do not require refrigeration or heating. Milk is available daily for snack and lunch.  

Field Trips, Presenters & Swimming  |  Camps take a weekly swim trip to to a local pool or splash pad. Each week will also consist of a visit from an outside presenter or an off-site field trip. Transportation is provided by school bus partners. Some camps may take walking field trips to nearby parks or other locations during the week, approved by the summer program director.  Details will be shared via email prior to the start of the camp week.

Group Time  |  Campers will spend the majority of their camp week in established small groups of 12-18 campers based on age. Each small group is led by a counselor who facilitates age-appropriate, theme-related activities for their assigned group of campers.  

2024 Camp Glacier Creek Fees  |  Tuition assistance is available to families for all programs

Weekly Deposits  |  Deposits are applied toward weekly fees and are non-refundable and

Remaining Fees  |  Remaining weekly fee (less deposit) is due by the end of the business day Monday (5 p.m.) five business days prior to the start of program.

Schedule Changes | Families may add or drop weeks any time until the end of the business day on Friday (5 p.m.) six business days prior to the requested week. Added weeks are dependent on space availability. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable when weeks are dropped.
