Coming Soon- Summer Day Camp 2021!
Camp Pleasant Valley is the perfect place for your camper to build friendships, be active and make the most of their summer.
Each week includes:
- A new and exciting theme
- A fun and engaging field trip
- An aquatic trip to a local pool, splash pad or beach
- Hands-on projects and activities
- A weekly all-camp festival
- An opportunity to build friendships and memories with other similar-aged campers
Camp Pleasant Valley is offering two camp sessions June 22-July 17 and July 20-August 7. Theme-based programming runs from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. Campers may be dropped off between 8:30-9:30 a.m. and picked up between 4-5 p.m. During these times campers will participate in supervised self-directed activities, play outside and enjoy fun games with friends.
All campers attend a swim trip each week. Parents/guardians will designate a swim level through the registration process. Our swim levels are in place to ensure that parents/guardians choose an appropriate level for their camper’s ability and confidence.

Weekly Schedule | Days of the week and activity times may vary slightly from the provided sample schedule. You will be emailed a weekly welcome letter with camp specific details and a confirmed schedule will be posted at camp each Monday.
Kick-Off | On Monday, the camp director and counselors welcome campers, review rules & emergency procedures, and familiarize new campers with camp.
Snack & Lunch | Morning and afternoon snacks are served daily. Campers bring their own nut-free lunch. Lunches should be packed so that they do not require refrigeration or heating. Milk is available daily for snack and lunch when campers are on site. Completely disposable lunches are required on field trips.
Rejuvenate | After an active morning and a satisfying lunch, campers slow down and rest a bit before another round of fun begins in the afternoon.
Field Trips | Each week, campers will take a field trip. Some popular destinations include: area parks, the Dane County Fair, a local farm, the UW campus, Henry Vilas Zoo, museums, splash parks and more! Field trips are taken via chartered school bus. Notice of all field trips is given via email the week prior and is posted on Monday morning. Campers must wear their camp shirts on field trips.
Swimming | Once a week, campers take a trip to a local pool, beach or splashpad. Pools and beaches are staffed by on-duty, certified lifeguards. Parents assign campers to one of three swim levels based on swimming ability. Campers are closely supervised by lifeguards and camp staff. See the swim and aquatic activity permission form for more details about swimming and to choose your child’s swim level. Campers must wear their camp shirts on swimming field trips.
Group Time | Campers will spend the majority of their camp week in established small groups of 12-17 campers based on age. Each small group is led by a counselor who plans age-appropriate, theme-related activities for their assigned group of campers.
Weekly Festival | The weekly festival is a celebration of the week for the whole camp designed around the theme for that week. Included is an opportunity for groups to share highlights of their week followed by all-camp activities! Weekly festivals have included talent shows, carnivals, field games, cooking projects, water fun and much more.
