Thrive in Stride Run/Walk Returns to Pheasant Branch Conservancy
Fun run/walk raises money for after school, summer programming
Madison, Wisconsin (March 15, 2023) — Wisconsin Youth Company announces the return of its Thrive in Stride fun run/walk fundraiser to support essential out-of-school time programs. Thrive in Stride was started in 2022 and had 120 attendees for its first year. The event will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Orchid Heights Park within Pheasant Branch Conservancy, Middleton, Wisconsin. The event gathers families, friends, and community partners from more than 20 different after school sites and neighborhood center programs to raise money for programming, financial aid, and support for working families in Dane and Waukesha Counties.
“Wisconsin Youth Company programs are all about building community. Thrive in Stride is a fun way to ensure the future success of our work and bring community together,” says Rebecca Carlin, executive director, Wisconsin Youth Company.
Thrive in Stride takes place along 3 miles of nature trails at Pheasant Branch Conservancy, with hidden scavenger hunt items and rest stops along the way. Participants are invited to stay after the run/walk for a Party in the Park with music, games and activities, prizes, and food.
Registration opens March 17, 2023 and is $30 per adult, $20 per child. Please join us May 20, 2023 as we raise money to support local after school and summer programs.
