Wander Wisconsin offers daily field trips and adventure-themed activities for campers entering grades 3-5.

Small group sizes and engaging staff provide the perfect environment for children to challenge themselves and build self-confidence. Campers stay active all day with activities such as swimming, hiking, kayaking, low ropes course, tree climbing and more! Each week, campers will also have an opportunity to cook their own outdoor lunch over the camp stove.

Wander Wisconsin Adventure Trips run from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Daily drop-off is between 7:30-8 a.m. and pick-up between 5-5:45 p.m. Campers will be transported by Wisconsin Youth Company van or school bus for daily field trips.

Campers must be a swim level yellow, green or higher to participate in Wander Wisconsin Adventure Trips. Our swim levels are in place to ensure that parents/guardians choose an appropriate level for their camper’s ability and confidence.

Campers will travel high up in the air and deep underground during this actionpacked week. We will explore the history of aviation and hike to some of Wisconsin’s highest points. We’ll dig deep into rock formations as we tour a cave. Our feet will stay grounded as we learn archery basics and new outdoor skills.

  • Hiking, swimming & cookout at a state park 
  • EAA Museum 
  • Outdoor skills & archery at The MacKenzie Center 
  • Cave tour at Eagle Cave

We are ready to explore the wonders of our great state. From the National Natural Landmark of Cave of the Mounds to the wondrous collections at House on the Rock, this four-day program will be filled with all the best that Wisconsin has to offer. This shortened week does not include an outdoor cookout.

Everyone wants more summer and Wander is here for one last hurrah! We’ll travel east and west, as we tour Discovery World Museum in Milwaukee and the Mississippi River Museum in Dubuque, IACampers will see wildlife, explore outdoors and challenge themselves on high ropes course in the summer’s final adventure.
