Get to Know Staff:

What is your favorite thing about spring?

  • Allison: Warmer weather
  • M’liss: Baby animals being born
  • Elsa: Seeing flowers grow and the sounds of birds

February Recap:

During February, we made the most of the slightly warmer weather by spending time outside enjoying the playground. The students loved soaking up the sunshine, playing group games, and staying active with their friends. Indoors, we got creative with Valentine’s Day–themed crafts, making special cards and festive projects to share with loved ones. We also continued our popular Music Fridays, where everyone had fun listening to their favorite songs, dancing, and ending the week on a positive, energetic note. It was a month full of creativity, movement, and lots of smiles!

March Happenings:

This month, we are looking forward to spending even more time outside as the weather continues to warm up, enjoying fresh air, and playing fun group games together. The children are excited to stay active, build teamwork skills, and connect with friends through cooperative play. We’re also eager to jump into spring-related activities and projects, bringing seasonal themes, creativity, and new hands-on experiences into our afternoons.

Family Engagement: Thermometer Goal Chart

Our students have been working incredibly hard at After school to fill up our thermometer goal chart, which focuses on showing respect to one another, staff, and our space. Each day, they make positive choices, use kind words, and demonstrate teamwork to help us reach our goal. We are so proud of their effort and commitment — and we can’t wait to celebrate all their hard work together with a well-earned party once the thermometer is full!
