Meet the Staff 

Site Supervisor  |  Raquel Ryckman 

All staff have education and/or experience related to working with children. They receive training prior to the start of the school year and are certified in first aid and CPR. All staff receive additional training regarding health & wellness and cleaning & sanitation protocols.

Program staff may need to contact you from program at phone numbers you provided during the registration process with questions or concerns, for this reason when phone numbers or pick-up arrangements change, please update this information with our administrative office. Before and After School programs are located in the gym. The entrance to the gym is located around the north side of the school 

Before School Drop-off 

  • Parents will drop-off their child(ren) and the child(ren) will ring the doorbell to notify staff of arrival. Staff will come open the door and greet your child(ren).
  • We kindly request that Parents do not enter the program space 
  • Child(ren) will put their belongings in a basket and sanitize hands each morning 
  • Staff will be responsible for signing children into program   

After School Pick-up 

  • Parents should ring the doorbell or text /call the program phone 414-380-8810 upon arriving to program. Staff will have Parent 1 and 2 phone numbers programmed into the cell phone. Please confirm the most current cell phone numbers are listed in your Parent Portal. That will serve as our means of identifying parents. Staff will have children clean up, gather belongings, sanitize hands, and exit the program space. We strongly encourage parents to meet their child(ren) outside the door.   
  • If your child(ren) has not exited the school five minutes after your text, please call the site cell phone 
  • If a different pre-authorized pick-up person is planning to pick-up from after school, please notify our administrative office or the site directly 

Daily Activities 

  • Wisconsin Youth Company staff will create weekly lesson plans tiered to the children’s interests  
  • Our program helps your child(ren) to discover new opportunities through our choice-based curriculum   
  • Within the daily activities, children will have a chance to participate in STEM, art projects, community building games, and other various hands–on activities to expand their developmental growth. Along with developing important life skills such as language, social and emotional skills.   
  • There will be time for daily outdoor recreation (weather permitted) where children will participate in group games and explore the playground  
  • Children are also provided the opportunity to complete homework  


  • An afternoon snack will be provided  
  • All snacks served at program are nut-free  
  • Children will eat snack at tables while sitting 3-6 feet apart  
  • All children must wash hands with soap and water before and after eating   
  • Snacks are individually wrapped and will be passed out by staff  
  • Milk will also be served

Early Release 

On scheduled early dismissal dates, programs will begin at the early dismissal time. For children already enrolled on these days, no additional fees are charged and children will be expected to attend unless parents notify us of their child(ren)’s absence. Please note: Children must bring a nut-free sack lunch not requiring refrigeration or microwaving. Milk will be provided, as well as an afternoon snack. (Exception: If the last day of school is an early release, program will not be held) 

No School Days 

At this time, Wisconsin Youth Company will not be offering all day programs on no school days. To find out more regarding no school days please review your school’s calendar.
