  • Under DCF state licensing, children are required to have a blanket at nap time. Please send a blanket with your child. You may also send a small pillow or stuffed animal. All items will be kept in a tote at program.
  • During rest time, the lights will be turned off and quiet music will be played. Children that do not choose to sleep may be given permission to play with small manipulatives near their mat.
  • At the end of each week, child(ren)’s items and rest sheet will be sent home to be washed and returned to program. It is important that Parents send the items back with their child on the following Monday.

Hello 4K Wrap families,

November seemed to fly right by as we dove into our fall projects and curriculum. The children enjoyed growing corn from popcorn seeds in plastic bags taped to our classroom windows, listening to stories read by the Actors Guild and by Ms. Stacey.

It was wonderful to meet parents at the I-SPY make-and-take-craft session, and to see the interaction between child and someone important in their life. Don’t worry if you didn’t make it, we can always host another exciting event.

For December, we are focusing on the season of giving by making cards for a local nursing home and may venture into creating some lavender heating pillows. In this exciting time of the season, it is fun to touch upon traditions around the world including some of our own.

Please let me know if there is anything your child wished we did this year that we have not; I am open to hearing your thoughts.

Family Engagement Time:
Discussing any family traditions for the season is a great way to heighten the excitement of the season before us.

Ms. Raquel

Hello families!

I hope you had a wonderful November. We enjoyed doing fall activities such as exploring the outdoors and seeing the leaves changing, along with doing STEM challenges and fall projects. A few of their favorite group games to play in November were four corners and statues.

In December, we will talk about winter, families, and holiday traditions. This is a great way for us to learn more about each other and our traditions. There will be many hands-on projects geared around winter such as snowflakes, ice painting, and snow slime. We plan to go outside to play in the snow; please send snow gear with your child(ren) for them to stay warm.
