Hello 4K families,
Over the past couple of months, we made a leprechaun trap, and we all came together to come up with a plan on how to make it. It was nice watching the children work together. The leprechaun did get away, but he left us with some wonderful green snacks.
As we move forward, we will focus on how things grow, and will work on more community building. I will continue bringing out new games for the children to play with. This will allow the children to problem-solve with each other and take turns.
We have a running joke that started off with one child and now all the kids say it. We say, “we’re going to fire the parent who made lunch if it’s something different in their lunch.” They even fired me a couple of times. I also fired them. And a few of you have been fired also. It’s nice to hear them joke around. I never thought this silly joke would spread to the other children like wildfire.
Hello families!
We had a super fun month in April! I would first like to thank all the families who were all able to come to family day. I was really excited to see everyone who came out. Thank you! We had so much fun, and the kids were still talking about it the next day. I love it when they get excited about something. I also want to thank you with dealing with all the crazy Wisconsin weather we’ve had. I know I’m ready to put all my winter gear in storge and not see it for a long time. I’m pretty sure we will not have snow in May! [knock on wood J]
Speaking of May, we have some fun themes coming up!
Themes:
- Cinco De Mayo
- Nature
- Camping
- Shapes
We are almost to the end of school, and I know the kids are really excited for school to come to an end. We are working hard on keeping our listening ears on and our eyes focused.
Thank you for all that you do!
Cheyenne
Hello families,
It’s great to be back after my maternity leave. The kids surprised me with an amazing handmade sign welcoming me back. It meant a lot to me. Even though this past month was kind of a short one, the kids had a blast playing Superbowl Jeopardy; making things out of toothpicks, Swedish fish, and marshmallows; playing the word game hang man; watercolor painting; playing in the block area; and we even played bingo on Valentine’s Day.
We are getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day by making cool decorations. We will also read the book “How to Catch a Leprechaun” to help us come up with ideas on how to make own leprechaun traps. We will also do Spoon and Connect Four tournaments; talk about March Madness (NCAA men’s basketball tournament); and play Jeopardy with St. Patrick’s Day and March Madness themes.
-Ms. Megan
