Get to Know Staff:

This month, Ms. Sarah travelled out of the country and Ms. Amanda completed her Master of Education degree!

December & January Recap:

In December we practiced being present with ourselves and each other, and in January we learned all about compassion. To show compassion, we must first understand how someone is feeling, then choose an action that is supportive. We discussed ways we can show others we care, such as giving space, asking a peer to join an activity, or cleaning up after ourselves.

February Happenings:

In February, we will focus on communication, which allows us to connect with others and share ideas. We’ll engage in collaborative projects to encourage problem-solving and creation. Children will learn different forms of communication, such as nonverbal, passive, aggressive, and assertive, and discover their impact.

Family Engagement:

Children have requested more cooking projects this semester. We would love to incorporate family favorites in program. If you have a simple recipe you think we could make at After School, please send them by email or on paper. If you would also like to join us for a cooking project, reach out to schedule a time.

Join us for summer fun!
