In February, we worked on being able to communicate our needs to our peers. We were intentional in sharing our perspectives in a way that was also considering the needs of others. The students worked on collaborative projects to create opportunities to practice our skills. They opened their own cafe, built giant towers and arctic habitats, and learned new games. We also experienced a lot of illnesses! Hopefully, we’re all out of the woods and can stay healthy the rest of this winter.

This month, we will consider what makes us unique and what we have in common. We’ll celebrate our family, background, skill sets, interests, hobbies, and dreams! Students will work on collaborative and individual art and cooking projects, explore hidden treasure as pirates, and set up their own lemonade stand!

If you would like to join us at After School to share a favorite family activity, story, or tradition, we’d love to have you! Feel free to email any ideas you have or chat at pick up to set up a time.

We have had some fantastic subs in our program this month. The kids have enjoyed getting to know new faces and have done a great job teaching them our routines and expectations.
