This month, we had tons of fun moving our bodies and practicing our sportsmanship skills. The kids especially loved bringing the gym net into the program space for balloon tennis, and were excited to try some kickball in the gym! We also celebrated the earth by planting seeds with the Stuntebeck family, and learned that “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It’s not”, from the 1972 version of The Lorax. Finally, we put together some art from the heart for the important women in our lives. Kiddos were able to write a letter, create a newspaper article, and/or draw pictures for an aunt, grandmother, sister, or mom to celebrate them.

Coming up, we are putting together an After-School Talent Show! This week, students will determine days and times for our performances on the last week of school. Many have already chosen their talent and are practicing their routines during program.

Thank you to all our program families for a fantastic year. Getting to know everyone this year has been a blast, and I’m so grateful to each one of you! We hope you all have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer, and can’t wait to see many of you next school year!
