Winter is definitely here!

Hello After School families,

Last month, the children enjoyed sharing their input on the activities we did. Those activities consisted of a play straws challenge, taste and vote for your favorite chocolate bar, make slime, choose your own coloring page, make a Christmas tree, and much more. It was fun getting to see their excitement for the activities they chose, along with always being interested in the activity of the day!

You should have received an email with the schedule of the Monday Cooking Project which starts Monday, December 12. You can either email me the recipe or bring it in by the Friday before, so I have time to get the ingredients for the following Monday.

Get to Know Your Staff

What is your favorite thing about the holidays?

Ms. Jessica: I love Thanksgiving because I get to spend time with family and eat lots of good food!

Ms. Maggie: So cliché but I love spending time with family.

  • Winter Wander registration is open through December 16 for grades 3-5
  • No Program Days
    • December 5
    • December 21-January 3
  • As the weather gets colder and the days get shorter, please send students with weather appropriate attire so we can continue to enjoy our time outdoors
    • We go over the weather chart (see link above) with the children before heading outside every day to remind them that the clothing requirements are not an option and have to stay on for the duration of our outside time. If your child has wet gloves or is missing a part of winter gear that they need, we have plenty of extras that they can borrow.
  • Pick-up is at door #2. Continue to call or text the site phone when you have arrived to pick up your child(ren). We will have your child come let you in the door, so then you can come in and sign them out. If your child is set up to have an independent departure, we will sign them out and send them on their way.
  • Please call the attendance message line at 608-276-9898 to report any absences
  • COVID-19 vaccines are available for children age 6 months and up. Click for more information and to schedule an appointment for your child. (Español)
