Hello Stephens families!

I can’t believe it is March already; it feels like we just finished up winter break. This past month many of the children have been working on sewing their own stuffies. It has been amazing seeing them gain confidence while creating their own pattern and then learning how to make it come to life. They have been doing an amazing job waiting patiently when needing help on their stuffy and even helping each other when they know the solution to what someone is struggling with. The kids have also been having a lot of fun with new toys. It has been amazing seeing them work together on their creations and all the amazing things they come up with.

As the weather starts to warm up and it is staying lighter outside for longer, we are hoping to spend more time outside. The kids have been missing ending the day outside and have been asking when we will go back to that schedule. After Daylight Savings Time starts again this month, we will switch our schedule around, starting the day with our project and snack, and then ending the day outside enjoying the fresh air.

A project the kids have had a lot of fun with recently was making cloud dough. This project doesn’t need many supplies and kids can spend hours playing with it.

You will need:

  • Cornstarch
  • Conditioner
  • Bowl
  • Spoon

In a bowl add ½ cup conditioner. Slowly add up to ½ cup cornstarch, stirring with each addition until you reach a playdough-like consistency. Enjoy playing with your cloud dough!
