The countdown to summer is here!

It seems as if the school year just flashed before my eyes! Summer is quickly approaching, and school is almost out. April was such a busy month with Easter and both family nights. Thank you to all the families who attended family night. I hope you had an amazing time and will continue to join us for future family nights.

We had many fun and entertaining projects last month, so the children were excited to see their artwork on display in the windows for families to see. I am continuing to not only grow closer to the children, but also to the families. The children have been sharing more projects and group games that we include each week and I love to have everyone’s input when making lesson plans. As stated previously, we have a group game with the children before and after school, or we go outside, to get the children physically active and energetic. As always, if you have any ideas about projects or group games that your child(ren) would be interested in, please don’t hesitate to mention them at pick-up or drop-off.

We will have more outside time to enjoy the warmer weather and sunlight. When we have cooler days, we still require students to have a light jacket and appropriate shoes to wear outdoors. We will continue to go outside until the weather is below 50 degrees. On days we are not able to go outside, we will go to the gym instead for active time. May also means Mother’s Day and Memorial Day!

I would like to acknowledge all of my Before and After School children this month for always being great helpers, being positive, and helping others when needed. Over the past few weeks, everyone has been active in doing more activities and participating in group games. They have also helped Mrs. Harjinder and myself clean to make things run more quickly and smoothly. We appreciate each and every one of our children!
