Meet the Staff

All staff have education and/or experience related to working with children. They receive training prior to the start of the school year and are certified in first aid and CPR. All staff receive additional training regarding health & wellness and cleaning & sanitation protocols.

Program Location 

Before and After School programs are located in the gym. The entrance to the gym is located on the third floor off of Greenmeadow Ave. Please use Door 12 for entrance into program. 

Before School Drop-off  

  • Please ring the bell at Door 12. Staff will greet you at the door. 
  • Parent will enter and sign their children into program. 
  • Children will check in with staff and put their belongings in a basket.   

After School Pick-up  

  • Please ring the bell at Door 12. Staff will greet you at the door.
  • Parent will enter and sign their children out of program. 
  • If a different pre-authorized pick-up person is planning to pick-up from After School, please notify our administrative office or the site directly.

Daily Activities  

  • Wisconsin Youth Company staff will create weekly lesson plans tiered to the children’s interests   
  • Our program helps your children to discover new opportunities through our choice-based curriculum    
  • Within the daily activities, children will have a chance to participate in STEM, art projects, community building games, and other various hands-on activities to expand their developmental growth. Along with developing important life skills such as language, social, and emotional skills.    
  • There will be time for daily outdoor play (weather permitted) where children will participate in group games and explore the playground   
  • Children are also provided with the opportunity to complete homework   

Snack  

  • A morning and afternoon snack will be provided, along with milk
  • All snacks served at program are nut-free

Early Release  

On scheduled early release dates, before school will be the only program offered for scheduled families. There will be no After School program offered on early dismissal days. 

In November, we built big Magna-Tile buildings, created food projects, and lots of Thanksgiving crafts. We made Oreo turkeys and 3-D buildings with cranberries and toothpicks. The children loved the food projects this month!

In December we look forward to making winter crafts such as snow globes, ornaments, and many more holiday projects. I hope to start being able to ask for parent volunteers. We look forward to having parents involved with After School.

The children will also make a holiday gift for their families this month. Keep your eyes out for their gift.

  • We cannot go to your child’s classroom after 3:40 p.m. if they forget their jacket or homework.
  • If your child is going to be absent from program, please text or call our message attendance line at 262–547–2326.
  • As cold weather approaches please remember a hat, gloves, jacket, snowpants, boots. See below our weather guidelines.

24-Hour Attendance Message Line: 262-547-2326  |  Please text or call the message line when your child(ren) will be absent from program. All absences must be reported. Please include your child(ren)’s name, program, and the date(s) of absence.
