Meet the Staff

All staff have education and/or experience related to working with children. They receive training prior to the start of the school year and are certified in first aid and CPR. All staff receive additional training regarding health & wellness and cleaning & sanitation protocols.

Program Location 

Before and After School programs are located in the gym. The entrance to the gym is located on the third floor off of Greenmeadow Ave. Please use Door 12 for entrance into program. 

Before School Drop-off  

  • Please ring the bell at Door 12. Staff will greet you at the door. 
  • Parent will enter and sign their children into program. 
  • Children will check in with staff and put their belongings in a basket.   

After School Pick-up  

  • Please ring the bell at Door 12. Staff will greet you at the door.
  • Parent will enter and sign their children out of program. 
  • If a different pre-authorized pick-up person is planning to pick-up from After School, please notify our administrative office or the site directly.

Daily Activities  

  • Wisconsin Youth Company staff will create weekly lesson plans tiered to the children’s interests   
  • Our program helps your children to discover new opportunities through our choice-based curriculum    
  • Within the daily activities, children will have a chance to participate in STEM, art projects, community building games, and other various hands-on activities to expand their developmental growth. Along with developing important life skills such as language, social, and emotional skills.    
  • There will be time for daily outdoor play (weather permitted) where children will participate in group games and explore the playground   
  • Children are also provided with the opportunity to complete homework   

Snack  

  • A morning and afternoon snack will be provided, along with milk
  • All snacks served at program are nut-free

Early Release  

On scheduled early release dates, before school will be the only program offered for scheduled families. There will be no After School program offered on early dismissal days. 

Get to Know Staff:

Harjinder is looking forward to making snowmen, Christmas tree projects, and indoor games.

Ethan is looking forward to playing card games and learning new group games.

Kali is looking forward to celebrating the holidays, making gifts, and winter break.

November Recap:

November was filled with tons of fun activities and new toys. We disguised a turkey, made dancing popcorn kernels in a jar, made Veteran’s Day cards, and learned about different holidays by making a collaborative holiday paper chain that we will continue adding as we celebrate more holidays.

December Happenings:

December will be filled with gift making, learning new holidays, and STEM projects. The kids recently started earning red tickets. Your child can earn red tickets by being kind to others, following Before and After School rules, and helping clean up. We then do a weekly red ticket pull on Thursdays and five lucky kids get to pick from the prize bin. They get a chance to earn multiple tickets each day of program.

In After School, they also started earning marbles for the jar. This is a group effort as long as the whole group follows rules. Once the jar is filled, they will earn a reward such as a movie or a sweet treat.

  • Please help your kids remember to grab their tag when they get to program in the morning and when they are leaving at the end of the day.
  • If your child is going to be absent from program, please text or call our message attendance line at 262–547–2326.
  • As the weather starts to get cooler, please send your kids with appropriate outside clothing. See weather chart below.
