Meet the Staff

All staff have education and/or experience related to working with children. They receive training prior to the start of the school year and are certified in first aid and CPR. All staff receive additional training regarding health & wellness and cleaning & sanitation protocols.

Program staff may need to contact you from program at phone numbers you provided during the registration process with questions or concerns, for this reason when phone numbers or pick-up arrangements change, please update this information with our administrative office. To update this information, or any other information regarding your child(ren) and your family, please send an email to waukesha@wisconsinyouthcompany.org. This information cannot be updated via your Parent Portal.

After School program is located in room 101. The entrance to our program is through the front of the school.

After School Pick-up 

  • Parents should text or call the program phone 414-380-8811 upon arriving to program. Staff will have Parent 1 and 2 phone numbers programmed into the cell phone. Please confirm the most current cell phone numbers are listed in your Parent Portal. That will serve as our means of identifying parents. Staff will have children clean up, gather belongings, sanitize hands, and exit the program space. We strongly encourage parents to meet their child(ren) outside the door.   
  • If your child(ren) has not exited the school five minutes after your text, please call the site cell phone
  • If a different pre-authorized pick-up person is planning to pick-up from after school, please notify our administrative office or the site directly 
  • If you would prefer to pick-up from the program space, please come to our classroom door (101). Staff will greet you at the door and get child(ren) ready to leave.

Daily Activities 

  • Wisconsin Youth Company staff will create weekly lesson plans tiered to the children’s interests  
  • Our program helps your child(ren) to discover new opportunities through our choice-based curriculum   
  • Within the daily activities, children will have a chance to participate in STEM, art projects, community building games, and other various hands-on activities to expand their developmental growth. Along with developing important life skills such as language, social and emotional skills.   
  • There will be time for daily outdoor recreation (weather permitted) where children will participate in group games and explore the playground  
  • Children are also provided the opportunity to complete homework  

Snack 

  • A morning and afternoon snack will be provided  
  • All snacks served at program are nut-free  
  • Children will eat snack at tables while sitting 3-6 feet apart  
  • All children must wash hands with soap and water before and after eating   
  • Snacks are individually wrapped and will be passed out by staff  
  • Milk will also be served

Early Release 

On scheduled early dismissal dates, programs will begin at the early dismissal time. For children already enrolled on these days, no additional fees are charged and children will be expected to attend unless Parents notify us of their child(ren)’s absence. Please note: Children must bring a nut-free sack lunch not requiring refrigeration or microwaving. Milk will be provided, as well as an afternoon snack. (Exception: If the last day of school is an early release, program will not be held.) 

No School Days 

At this time, Wisconsin Youth Company will not be offering All Day Programs on no school days. To find out more regarding no school days please review your school’s calendar

4K Wrap End of Day 

Please communicate with our administrative office regarding how your child(ren) will depart 4K Wrap. When 4K wrap concludes, Parents have the following options: 

  • After School  |  Through a separate registration, children can continue into our After School program until 6 p.m. Please review the after school program tab for additional information. Contact our administrative office to register for After School. 
  • Bus  |  Children can take bus transportation provided by the school. Please coordinate through the school and inform Wisconsin Youth Company’s administrative office of your child(ren)’s bus number. 
  • Independent Departure  |  If you would like your child(ren) to meet you at the car line for pick-up, please contact our administrative office to authorize independent departure. 
  • Classroom Pick-up  |  Check in with the front office staff for directions to our program space. We kindly request that parents do not enter our program space. Staff will greet you at the door.

Lunch

Hot lunch is available through the school. Please work with Swallow to set up this option.

If not receiving hot lunch, Parents must send a sack lunch that must not require refrigeration or microwaving; milk is provided. Some children have life-threatening allergies (like a peanut or tree nut allergy). For this reason, Wisconsin Youth Company requests that children bring a nut-free lunch.

Snack

  • A morning and afternoon snack will be provided

  • Children will eat snack at tables while sitting 3-6 feet apart
  • All children must wash hands with soap and water before and after eating

Rest Time

  • Each day, there will be a 30-minute rest time for children. Wisconsin Youth Company will provide a padded mat and sheet for your child(ren) to lay on. Children’s rest mats will be positioned at least 6-feet apart from each other.
  • If Parents wish to send other items (i.e. small pillow, small blanket, small comfort toy, etc.) you may send those with your child(ren) on the first day or at any point in the school year. All items brought in will be kept in a tote (size) labeled with your child’s name.
  • During rest time, the lights will be turned off and quiet music will be played. Children that do not choose to sleep may be given permission to play with small manipulatives near their mat.
  • At the end of each week, child(ren)’s items and rest sheet will be sent home to be washed and returned to program

Early Release

There is no 4K wrap programming on early release days. To find out more regarding early release days please review your school’s calendar.

No School Days

At this time, Wisconsin Youth Company will not be offering all day programs on no school days. To find out more regarding no school days please review your school’s calendar.
