Get to Know Staff:

Lizzie loves winter, but not so much the cold! She prefers to spend the winter months visiting friends and family, looking at festive lights, and cozying up by the fire. Sledding with her nephews will always get her outside in the snow.

Bruno loves to spend the colder months sledding, hiking, ice skating, Christmas decorating/watching movies, spending time by the campfire with s’mores, and being with family!

November Recap:

November was filled with kindness, gratitude, and superheroes! Children reflected on the people and things they are grateful for. We wrote letters to people we appreciate in our lives, and chatted with each other about what gratitude feels like. Our superhero-themed week gave children the chance to share their favorite superhero (fictional and real). It was amazing to hear everyone’s responses. We created sock puppet superheroes, masks, and capes for our little superheroes!

Last month, we also participated in a service project — making blankets for Project Linus! Children were so helpful in making tie blankets to donate to children in need.

December Happenings:

We are ready for winter at After School! As weather allows, we will bundle up and head outside for fun winter activities.

Some of our children have been writing their own play to perform before winter break! We are so excited to share their hard work with you. More information will be available at pickup.

Family Engagement:

We were grateful to have had the opportunity to help other children by making tie blankets for Project Linus! It was such a fun and heartwarming activity, and we’re excited to do another service project later this year.
