Hello After School families,

We have been creating projects, learning how to make our own snacks, doing our homework, and making new friends. We’ve had lots of fun learning about Black History Month, Chinese New Year, and doing our annual Valentine’s Day escape room!

With the days slowly getting longer, but the weather still being gloomy, we have been expanding and spending most of our days in the reading center and mindfulness zone. After a long day of school and After School, these zones really help us wind down and stay calm.

In March, we have a lot of fun things planned by a student! They came up with ideas for Women’s History month and Irish American heritage month! We are also planning on getting a physical copy of a book made in After School, but first we must write and illustrate it before spring break!
