Meet the Staff

Program is staffed by Wisconsin Youth Company program managers and directors: Meghan Case, Nate Peterson, Melissa Meyer, and Layla Moosavi

Arriving at Program

Parents should drop-off and pick-up students in the Level 4 Drive Thru Lane. Directions on how to access the drive thru lane can be found here. You can also view a map here.

  • As you pull up in the drive through lane, you will see the entrance for Wisconsin Youth Company families on your right at the brown double doors. The door will be labeled Wisconsin Youth Company
  • Please park to the side of the drive thru and enter through the double doors.
  • A Wisconsin Youth Company staff will meet you at the door to complete a temperature check and verify the health screening
  • All individuals dropping off or picking up a child(ren) must wear a face covering
  • To limit the number of people waiting to sign-in, we request that only one Parent drop off your child(ren).
  • If your child(ren) has/have additional medications at their home school, Wisconsin Youth Company staff will transfer this medication to Monona Terrace
  • If your child will be arriving after 8:30 a.m., please call the 24-hour attendance line to inform us of the late arrival
& Wellness Check
  • Please complete the daily health screening link before arriving at program
  • When you arrive to program, you will notice that the program site supervisor will have a mask on and will be seated behind a plastic barrier. We ask that only one family approaches the program site supervisor for sign-in at a time. Hand sanitizer will be available at the sign-in table.
  • The program site supervisor will sign-in your child(ren) with the time and their signature
  • Your child(ren) will have their temperature taken each morning with a digital forehead thermometer. Children who have a fever greater than 100.4° F will not be admitted to program and cannot return until they are symptom free for 48 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
  • After your child(ren) is/are signed in, the program site supervisor will use a two-way radio to inform your child(ren)’s program leader they are on their way to the classroom
  • At this point, we ask that you say goodbye to your child(ren). To reduce the number of people in program, we ask that Parents do not walk their child(ren) down to their classroom. Program leaders will ensure children arrive safely.
  • Children will be directed to wash their hands thoroughly for a minimum of 20 seconds upon arrival
What to Bring

Please only send your child(ren) with following items. All items should be labeled with your child(ren)’s first and last name:

  • Virtual learning technology as required including headphones
  • School supplies needed to participate in virtual school day learning
  • Sack lunch (nut-free) that does not need to be refrigerated or microwaved
  • Gym shoes or sandals with a heel strap (no flip flops)
  • Water bottle

  • A cloth face covering

Please do not send your child(ren) with any unnecessary items. Toys or other items from home will not be permitted. Wisconsin Youth Company is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property, including clothing.

Sign-Out & Picking Up Your Child(ren)

Children should be picked up no later than 4 p.m. If you need to pick up your child(ren) early, please coordinate that directly with the program site supervisor in advance.

  • Please wait in line on designated spots 6-feet apart
  • As you arrive to the front of the line, the program site supervisor will use their two-way radio to inform your child(ren)’s program leader that you have arrived for pick-up
  • Your child(ren) will then meet you at the pick-up area
  • Program staff will sign your child(ren) out
  • If you would like your child(ren) to walk home independently or meet you at your vehicle, please contact the administrative office to authorize “independent departure.” Children cannot meet you at your vehicle unless they have prior authorization.
  • Children will be asked to take all items home with them at the end of the day

Any authorized pick-up person who will be picking up your child(ren) is encouraged to have a photo ID on them. With the safety of children in mind, staff will check IDs if they have not met a pick-up person or do not recognize a pick-up person.

Please call the 24-hour attendance message line, 608-276-9898, if your child(ren) will be absent. Please call before 8:30 a.m. if the message pertains to that day.
