Wisconsin Youth Company Announces Matching Gift for Giving Tuesday
Local author to match funds for national day of giving
Madison, Wisconsin (Monday, December 2, 2024) — Wisconsin Youth Company announces the return of a special matching gift for Giving Tuesday, thanks to the generosity of local author Laura Bird and her husband, William. The couple has pledged to match funds dollar-for-dollar up to $5,500, doubling the impact of every gift and helping the organization reach its $11,000 goal.
Giving Tuesday, a national day of giving, takes place Tuesday, December 3, and Wisconsin Youth Company is calling on the community to help create lasting change for children and families across the area.
“Whether it’s helping kids discover new activities, supporting parents in need, or strengthening entire neighborhoods, every contribution makes a meaningful difference,” says Regan Kregness, development director, Wisconsin Youth Company. “We are grateful to Laura and William Bird for once again inspiring our community to come together and support children and families.”
Contributions raised on Giving Tuesday will support Wisconsin Youth Company’s mission to provide high-quality programs and resources that enrich the lives of young people. From school year and summer programs to scholarships for families in need, the organization is dedicated to fostering strong, vibrant communities.
“Every dollar raised gets us closer to a brighter future for our kids and community,” says Laura Bird. “We’re honored to partner with Wisconsin Youth Company and encourage everyone to join us in making this Giving Tuesday truly transformative.”
