Wisconsin Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament Returns in May
Tournament to Raises Funds for Out-of-School Time Programs
Madison, Wisconsin (Monday, January 26, 2026) — Wisconsin Youth Company announces the 2nd annual Wisconsin Paddle Battle, a community pickleball tournament and fundraiser set to take place May 30-31, 2026 at Phoebe Bakken Memorial Park in Cottage Grove. The tournament offers an exciting way for community members to engage with and support Wisconsin Youth Company through the fun, accessible sport of pickleball.
This two-day event invites pickleball players of all skill levels to join in friendly competition while supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the tournament benefit Wisconsin Youth Company’s programs, which provide high-quality out-of-school time care, enrichment, and support for children and families throughout Dane and Waukesha counties. Last year’s event raised more than $8,000.
“We had so much fun at our inaugural Wisconsin Paddle Battle and I’m thrilled we are bringing it back as our signature fundraising event,” says Regan Kregness, development director, Wisconsin Youth Company.
The tournament features men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles divisions, with brackets organized by skill level plus a “just-for-fun” bracket for the casual pickleball player. Everyone from seasoned players to newcomers can compete for fun and prizes while supporting a great cause. Participants enjoy prizes, concessions, and family-friendly activities including a 50/50 raffle.
“Last year proved that people are excited to come together to support an important and local cause,” Kregness adds. “I can’t wait to see returning players and new faces this year.”
Registration is open and sponsorship opportunities are available. Contact Rebecca Carlin if you are interested in volunteering at the event, donating gift cards for winners, sponsoring, or have any questions.
Join Wisconsin Youth Company for a weekend of fun, fitness, and community spirit — all in support of children and families across Wisconsin.
