Waunakee and Madison’s Spring Break Program - Field Trip to Aldo Leopold Nature Center

Waunakee and Madison's spring break program took a field trip on Friday, April 3 to Aldo Leopold Nature Center.  Kids immersed themseleves in the outdoors learning what kind of animals live in different habitats, including wooded ares, ponds and marshes, and prairie grasslands. They found owl pellets, snakes, dragonfly larvae and other aquatic life, song birds, a soaring Redtail Hawk, Canadian Geese and a pair of Sandhill Cranes.  It was a great day for hands-on learning adventures!
