Madison, Wisconsin — Tuesday, October 19, 2021 — Elver Park Neighborhood Center was awarded a $12,000 grant by the Berbee Derby Technology Education Foundation to purchase and install three smartboards for use in the center’s classrooms.
The new smartboards will allow center staff to provide more digital content to enhance virtual and in-center classroom programs; bring interactive content to community meetings; and provide students with technology focused learning opportunities.
All of the money raised by Berbee Derby for its annual Thanksgiving Day race is given to the TEF grants. The grants are awarded to non-profit organizations that serve greater Madison and southern Wisconsin communities.
