Inaugural Thrive in Stride Run/Walk Supports Essential Childcare Programs
Nature trail fun run/walk to raise money for after school, summer programming

Madison, Wisconsin (March 10, 2022) — Wisconsin Youth Company announces its inaugural Thrive in Stride fun run/walk fundraiser to support essential out-of-school time programs. Thrive in Stride will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Orchid Heights Park within Pheasant Branch Conservancy, Middleton, Wisconsin. The event gathers families, friends, and community partners from more than 20 different after school sites and neighborhood center programs to raise money for programming, financial aid, and support for working families in Dane and Waukesha Counties.

“The pandemic put a spotlight on the importance of quality childcare for families. Thrive in Stride will bring families together for a fun day to raise money for this essential service in our community. We’ve missed celebrating together with our children and families so this event will be a special day for the organization and community,” says Rebecca Carlin, executive director, Wisconsin Youth Company.

Thrive in Stride takes place along 3 miles of nature trails at Pheasant Branch Conservancy, with hidden scavenger hunt items at rest stops along the way. Participants are invited to stay after the run/walk for a party with music, games and activities, prizes, and food.

Registration opens March 18, 2022 and is $30 per adult, $15 per child. Please join us May 21, 2022 as we raise money to support local after school and summer programs.

Please check back for more updates as we to get closer to the event.
