What’s the best thing about summer camp? That everyone can join the fun! This week we kick-off camp with activities and projects that everyone can enjoy, and give a snapshot of all of the cool things your camper(s) can expect this summer at Wisconsin Youth Company. Campers will make new friends and revisit with old friends as we play large group games, get messy with some arts & crafts, and celebrate the start to a great summer!
Presenter: Challenge Island
Art comes in all shapes and sizes. We’re going beyond coloring and getting creative with all forms of art. From painting to origami and acting to singing, campers will brush up on their art skills and warm up their vocals as we bring out the artist in all of us.

This week campers will focus on spreading kindness to others at camp and beyond! Groups will participate in service-learning activities, as well as large group events that encourage campers to be kind friends. We’ll also take time to show kindness to our Earth as we visit a local farm and learn about gardening.

When the sun is shining and the weather is fine, there’s no excuse for not getting outside to PLAY! This week is all about celebrating games and activities that all campers can do together. Groups will be engaging in all the classic large and small group games, as well as making up a few new ones along the way.

Animals, shows, and crafts, oh my! This week campers will put on their own camp county fair, with art showcases, talent performances, and carnival games galore. Groups can see how they stack up to the real deal at the end of the week, when they visit the Waukesha County Fair.

This week is all about celebrating campers and encouraging them to be their best selves. We’re all a little wacky and that’s what makes us wonderful. Things might be a little silly as camp staff plan themed days like Wear Your Pajamas to Camp or Wacky Hair Day.
