When is the event?
Thrive in Stride will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022. The event will start at Orchid Heights Park and take participants on a 3-mile trail through Pheasant Branch Conservancy.

  • Participant registration deadline is Monday, May 16, 2022

What if it rains?
We believe there is no bad weather as long as you are dressed appropriately! We will hold Thrive in Stride rain or shine and invite all event participants, guests, and sponsors to join us! If it does rain, just remember to bring your rain gear.

If weather is deemed unsafe (ex. severe thunderstorms, high winds, or dangerous conditions) all participants will be contact via email and phone prior to the event start time.

Will there be food?
Yes! Along the trail, we will have snack and beverage stations to take a quick break. After the run/walk, there will be food trucks ready to serve up a yummy lunch for our Party in the Park.

Are pets allowed?
No. We love our furry friends. But, in order to keep everyone else on the trail comfortable and safe we ask that you leave your four-legged or feathered companions at home.

Are strollers allowed?
Yes! We know that 3 miles might be far for little legs and encourage families to bring strollers or wagons to help children along the way.

Are there bathrooms?
Yes. The park house at Orchid Heights Park has bathrooms available for use before you hit the trail and during Party in the Park afterwards. There will also be a port-o-potty around the mid-way point just in case.

Is the run timed?
No. Our fun run/walk is non-competitive and will not be timed, although you are welcome to time yourself.

COVID Mitigation Strategies
As we enjoy a return to in-person activities, we want to keep you informed on ways we are keeping our event safe for participants, volunteers, and staff. Wisconsin Youth Company had developed COVID protocols that are in compliance with guidelines provided by Public Health Madison and Dane County and are reviewed on a regular basis. Thrive in Stride is an outdoor event and allows for good opportunities for social distancing. We ask that any participant, volunteer, or staff who is experiencing illness symptoms or has recently tested positive for COVID to refrain from attending the event

Are sponsorships available to help support the event?
Yes! Learn more about our sponsorship opportunities.
